Big Data for Advancing Dementia Research
An OECD-commissioned project that evaluates current (best) practices of data sharing in research on neurodegenerative diseases using a case study approach. The report (available here) was presented at the First WHO Ministerial Conference on Global Action Against Dementia in Geneva on 16-17 March 2015.
This project looked at four case studies (national/international and dementia-specific/cross-conditional) to evaluate current practices in data sharing and challenges.
Findings include insights on current data governance and more deep-seated challenges, based on which next steps and policy recommendations are developed
A report has been published in March 2015, presenting the findings of the four case studies as well as policy recommendations for advancing dementia research globally.
